Account information includes a username, email address, password hash, security settings and optional business or dealer details.

We also store activity linked to an account, including posts, messages, reactions, reports, bookmarks, subscriptions, notifications, listings and uploaded files. Servers may record IP address, device, browser, request, error and security-event information.

Information is used to provide and secure accounts, operate community features, deliver requested notifications, moderate content, detect abuse, answer requests, improve reliability and comply with legal obligations.

Where consent is the appropriate basis, it can be withdrawn for future processing.

Public profiles, posts, listings and uploads can be viewed and copied by other people. Private messages are visible to their participants and may be accessed when reasonably necessary for a report, security incident or legal obligation.

Infrastructure, email, security and analytics providers may process limited data for us under appropriate safeguards. GunChatZA does not sell personal information.

Essential cookies keep sessions, authentication and security controls working. We use access controls, password hashing, encryption for supported security secrets, backups and monitoring.

Information is retained for as long as needed for the service, community records, disputes, security, backups and legal duties. Removing an account does not automatically remove every contribution where retaining the discussion is lawful and reasonable.

Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold information about you, request access or correction, object to certain processing, request deletion where retention is no longer justified, or complain to the Information Regulator.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

GunChatZA is not directed to children. A person who cannot legally agree to these terms should not create an account without the required guardian involvement.
