How we participate

Community Rules

Clear standards keep firearm discussion useful, lawful and welcoming. These rules apply across posts, messages, profiles, listings, reviews and uploads.

Last updated 3 October 2026

01

Be constructive

Discuss ideas and evidence without personal attacks, harassment, threats, discriminatory abuse or deliberate disruption. Do not organise dogpiling or use the site to pursue a personal dispute.

02

Keep firearm discussion lawful and responsible

Do not solicit or instruct criminal conduct, unlawful firearm access, evasion of licensing or transfer requirements, or unsafe handling.

Clearly distinguish personal experience from legal or professional advice. In the real world, follow range commands and competent instruction.

03

Protect privacy and security

Do not publish identity numbers, residential addresses, licence numbers, safe locations, private communications or another person's personal information without a lawful reason and permission.

Remove sensitive details from photographs and documents before uploading them.

04

Post accurate, relevant material

Choose the correct forum, use a descriptive title, disclose commercial interests and provide a source for significant factual claims when reasonably available.

Do not impersonate another person, fabricate evidence, spread known falsehoods, spam, manipulate engagement, copy full articles or repeatedly post the same material.

05

Classifieds carry extra responsibilities

Describe the actual item honestly, use the correct For Sale or Wanted status, and follow every law governing advertising, possession, payment, transport and transfer.

Close a listing when the item is sold or no longer wanted. Report suspected fraud and prohibited goods immediately.

06

Reports and moderation

Report content with a concise factual reason instead of escalating a dispute. Reports must not be used as retaliation.

Moderators may correct labels, move content, request a correction, hide or remove material, lock discussions, restrict features or suspend accounts. Serious or urgent matters may be acted on without advance notice.
