Use Reply to continue the discussion. Use Quote when your response needs the exact context of an earlier post, and trim the quotation to the part you are answering.
Reactions acknowledge a useful or interesting contribution without adding a one-word reply. Bookmarks save a post for your own reference. A thread subscription sends site notifications when the discussion changes; manage those notifications from your account menu.
Address the argument rather than the member. If a post breaks the rules, use Report and add a short factual reason. Reporting quietly gives moderators the context they need and avoids escalating the thread.
